Mutations, Speed Jelly, and the two shops

Cash potions from Leaf at 1.35x to Starlight at 5x are a different price list from the Robux shop, and both should land on keepers.

The center item shop sells Cash consumables. A separate Robux catalog sells direct ants, potions, jellies, and packs. Do not mix the two price columns.

Cash potions and jellies

Item Cash cost Effect
Normal Speed Jelly $10k 1.3x movement speed for 5 minutes
Mutation Removal Potion $100k Removes the current mutation
Leaf Mutation Potion $1M 1.35x EFF
Bubblegum Mutation Potion $5M 1.75x EFF
Strong Speed Jelly $100M 1.6x movement speed for 10 minutes
Candy Mutation Potion $50B 2x EFF
Rainbow Mutation Potion $100B 2.25x EFF
Super Speed Jelly $10T 2x movement speed for 15 minutes
Petal Mutation Potion $500T 3x EFF
Prismatic Speed Jelly $100Qa 2.5x movement speed for 15 minutes
Starlight Mutation Potion $5.1Qi 5x EFF

Jelly ends when the timer ends. A mutation stays until you remove it. Jelly does not change EFF the way Leaf through Starlight do.

Where a potion belongs

  1. Pick the placed ant with the best live output, not the newest Common.
  2. Confirm Egg Luck, rolls, food income, and slots are already moving.
  3. Use Leaf or Bubblegum on a keeper you will not replace this session.
  4. Step to Candy, Rainbow, Petal, and Starlight only with surplus Cash.
  5. If the potion hits the wrong ant, Removal at $100k is cheaper than replacing Starlight.

A 5x multiplier on a weak ant is still a weak ant. A leveled lower rarity can beat a fresh higher rarity, so read the panel before you delete a worker you have already upgraded.

Robux prices for the same potions

An October 5, 2026 shop list priced direct potion buys as Removal R$6, Leaf R$9, Bubblegum R$12, Candy R$49, Rainbow R$69, Petal R$129, and Starlight R$299. Speed jellies on that list were Normal R$3, Strong R$29, Super R$129, and Prismatic R$249. Those Robux figures are not the Cash costs above.

Ant packs on the same list were described as random ants that already have Starlight: one pack R$99, 3x R$249, 10x R$699. Demon packs were R$199, R$459, and R$1,299. The 10x Ant Pack is about R$70 per ant versus R$99 for a single. Which species are inside a Demon pack was not itemized.

The R$3 Starter Pack is reported as 50,000 Cash, 3 Bubblegum potions, and a Big Head ant. Save those Bubblegum potions for an ant you will keep.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What do you actually do in Build An Ant Empire?

Roll an offer at the Ant Queen, buy the ant with Cash, place it in a nest slot, collect the food boxes it produces, sell those boxes for Cash, then spend Cash on egg luck, egg rolls, food income, slots, and later mutations.

How do codes work?

Finish the short tutorial, click the gear icon at the top-right, open Settings, paste one code, and press Redeem. wnixh2 is listed for 100 Star Coins. 9hcb2s is a 15-minute Cash boost that an earlier page said would expire on October 9, 2026, even though later lists still showed it as active.

What should a new colony buy first?

Buy Egg Luck and Egg Rolls first while you keep enough Cash to purchase a strong offer. Then raise food income and add slots when you have ants worth placing. Buy Ant Speed when trips, not ant quality, are the bottleneck.

Which mutation is the strongest?

Starlight is the strongest listed mutation at 5x EFF and a cash price of $5.1Qi. Petal is 3x at $500T. Put those on ants you will keep. Leaf at 1.35x and $1M is only a first mutate for a keeper, not for a Common you plan to replace.

Do pets replace worker ants?

No. Pets come from Pet Eggs bought with Dungeon Pet Coins. They are companions with their own bonuses. Worker ants still produce food, and mount training is a third system that removes the ant you submit.

Are there gamepasses?

An October 5, 2026 catalog of the Roblox shop says there are no gamepasses and that the listed products are one-time buys. Cash prices in the center item shop are a separate list from those Robux prices.
